Chris Lynn Kirsch

Quilter Extraordinaire

Chris Lynn Kirsch stitches magic from her log home deep in the woods of southeastern Wisconsin.

In days gone by, Chris' tools of trade were the sterilized instruments of a dental hygienist. Time and passions changed all that when, in 1987, she somewhat impassively took her first quilting class and came away enthusiastically addicted.

Chris began quilting with traditional pieces, working by hand and with a machine. She collected antique quilts for their charm and link to the past. She eventually began designing her own pieces and a passion for art quilts evolved.

Today Chris' instruments of choice are sewing machines, scissors and a multitude of handy quilting gadgets. Her award-winning quilts have been displayed throughout the world.

Having no formal art training, Chris understands the delightful discovery of creative talent. She teaches quilting and design at Wisconsin's Waukesha County Technical College and Madison College. She also teaches for guild, shops and shows throughout the United States. (Information excerpted from her web site)

She is the author of two books, a fun and educational blog, and hosts exciting, international quilt excursions.
