"Photography is the art, science and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor or chemically by means of a light sensitive material such as photographic film." Wikipedia. The word photography is from the Greek meaning drawing with light.
We invite all photographers--professionals, amateurs, or occasional picture takers--to capture images of people, places or objects which have withstood the test of time, thus our theme, "Anything Old."
Curt Knoke, Gresham, WI will jury this show. A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in photography, Curt and a partner created Image Studios in Appleton,WI. During his years at this very successful commercial and advertising photo studio, Curt's photo assignments required extensive travel throughout the United States and Europe. After retirement, he has continued his passion for photography, publishing Shawano County at the Dawn of the Twenty-first Century, followed by The Art of Labor, the building of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, Green Gold and Proud, portraits, stories and tradition of Green Bay Packers fans and most recently, An American Fresco, pictures of the first Walls of Wittenberg mural.
